About Me.

Hi, I'm Sibonile. I'm a Master's student in Artificial Intelligence for Smart Sensors and Actuators at Technische Hochschule Deggendorf. Before this I earned a Bachelor's in Software Engineering from Xianyang Normal University in China.

Most of my time now goes into AI integration, machine learning, computer vision, and turning sensor data into useful systems. Outside of school I spent close to two years freelancing as a software engineer for clients across healthcare, ecommerce, and education. That work taught me how to carry an idea all the way through to running software.

When I am not building things, I read philosophy and AI research, solve coding challenges to stay sharp, and travel and cycle whenever I can.

What I Work On

Four areas that take up most of my time right now.

Machine Learning

Building and training neural networks with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. My work covers supervised learning, anomaly detection, and reinforcement learning, with focus on careful evaluation rather than only headline accuracy.

Computer Vision

I work on visual recognition, object detection, and image analysis—building intelligent systems that understand, process, and react to visual data.

Software Development

Improved efficiency, scalability, and performance to address specific business requirements effectively.

Sensor Data and Edge AI

My Master's program is built around AI for smart sensors and actuators. I work with IMU signals, time series data, and lightweight models meant to run close to where the data is produced.

Reinforcement Learning

Designing and implementing reinforcement learning algorithms for decision-making in complex environments.

Portfolio

A mix of school work, side projects, and client work.
